Health Canada has approved Twinject, the first epinephrine auto-injector that contains TWO doses.
More than one-third of patients require a second dose of epinephrine within 10 minutes to control anaphylactic reactions.
Some patients can also have a "biphasic" reaction...symptoms initially go away...but then return one to eight hours later.
