Regular use of aspirin and NSAIDs is beneficial for prostate health.
Several observational studies suggest that aspirin or NSAIDs may prevent the incidence and/or progression of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).
In fact, one study suggests a 25% decrease in the development of moderate to severe BPH symptoms in men regularly taking aspirin or NSAIDs.
NSAID use has also been tied to a reduced prostate cancer risk. Although benign prostate hyperplasia is NOT related to cancer, researchers think that both conditions may develop as a result of inflammation.
