Melatonin helps gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

This might be true...and isn’t as odd as it sounds.

Melatonin seems to play a role in protecting the GI tract against mucosal damage. It might also increase lower esophageal sphincter tone and esophageal pH.

But it’s too early to rely on melatonin for GERD...there’s not enough evidence that it’s effective.
