Astra is now marketing the Oxeze Turbuhaler for asthma.It contains formoterol...the same active ingredient as Foradil.
Formoterol is a long-acting beta agonist...similar to Serevent(salmeterol). These bronchodilators are only for maintenance therapy...they're not for treating an acute attack.
The Oxeze Turbuhaler is easier to use than Foradil. Foradilcomes as capsules that patients have to insert into an Aerolizer.
