J&J/Merck will come out with Pepcid Complete, an H2-blocker and antacid COMBO for heartburn.

Pepcid Complete will contain 10 mg famotidine...plus 800 mg calcium carbonate and 165 mg magnesium hydroxide.

Combining antacids with an H2-blocker makes sense. Antacids have a faster onset...but H2-blockers control symptoms longer.
