Pfizer is notifying pharmacists about dissolution changes with a new Dilantin (phenytoin) formulation.
Dilantin 100 mg extended release capsules were reformulated with a new filler that affects dissolution.
This new formulation dissolves differently...and doesn't pass the standard dissolution test called "USP Test 1."
