Novartis will soon market Zelnorm (tegaserod), a new drug for irritable bowel syndrome.
It will be available first in Canada...later in the U.S.
Zelnorm will be used to treat CONSTIPATION-predominant IBS. It is approved for use only in women due to a lack of data for men.
