Experts are debating whether to use Arixtra instead of Lovenox for acute coronary syndrome.
The latest evidence suggests Arixtra (fondaparinux) works at least as well as Lovenox (enoxaparin) to prevent ischemia, heart attack, and death. Arixtra also seems to cause fewer major bleeds.
But most experts aren't yet convinced that Arixtra is safer.
