A new national law will restrict sales of pseudoephedrine and ephedrine...to limit diversion to meth labs.
Pseudoephedrine and most ephedrine products were previously "unscheduled." This means that they could be sold from any retail store...including stores without pharmacies.
As of April 10, previously UNSCHEDULED products, containing ONLY pseudoephedrine (Sudafed Decongestant, etc) or ephedrine (Ephedra, etc) as SINGLE ingredients, will become Schedule II. These must be kept BEHIND the counter, in a no-public-access area of a pharmacy.
