There's concern about glitazones increasing fractures.
Health Canada is warning about fractures in women using rosiglitazone (Avandia, etc). There is an increased risk of fractures reported in women taking pioglitazone (Actos) too.
These women seem to get more fractures of the arm, hand, ankle, and foot...but so far, not the hip or spine.
