Aricept (donepezil) is now approved for SEVERE Alzheimer's in Canada.
Aricept is the first drug approved for all stages of Alzheimer's disease...mild, moderate, and severe. About 50% of patients with Alzheimer's have moderate to severe symptoms.
Recommend starting with Aricept 5 mg per day. Wait at least 4 to 6 weeks before considering a dose increase to 10 mg per day.
