You can now counsel patients to take Plan B in ONE dose...instead of two doses given 12 hours apart.
Taking a second dose of Plan B (levonorgestrel) is sometimes inconvenient...especially if it's during the night...which can result in a delayed or missed dose.
Taking both 0.75 mg tablets at once is as effective as taking each dose 12 hours apart...and the side effects are comparable.
