The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now says that quinolones should NOT be used to treat gonorrhea anymore...in anyone.

Previous recommendations had already said not to use quinolones for treating gonorrhea in men who have sex with men...or for infections acquired from Asia, Hawaii, or California.

Now quinolones are losing effectiveness in other patients too.
