About half of women on hormone therapy stopped it after the big Women's Health Initiative trial showed a higher risk of cardiovascular problems and breast cancer with Premarin or Premplus.
But despite these well-publicized results, up to 25% of these women ended up back on hormone therapy to control menopausal symptoms.
