adequate prophylaxis for migraines
Too few patients are getting adequate prophylaxis for migraines.
Suggest prophylaxis for patients with 3 or more migraines a month...or any number that cause debilitating symptoms.
Also recommend prophylaxis if patients use acute meds...codeine, triptans, Excedrin, etc...more than 2 or 3 days per week for migraines. Explain that frequent use can actually make them worse.
