Nucynta CR (tapentadol) will be used for moderate to moderately severe pain that lasts for several days or more.

It's an opioid agonist and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor...similar to tramadol (Zytram XL, etc). But Nucynta CR is stronger than tramadol and will be classified as a narcotic in Canada.
