Toujeo (too-JAY-oh) will be the first U-300 BASAL insulin.

It contains insulin glargine, similar to Lantus...but Toujeo has 300 units/mL instead of 100 units/mL.

DON'T think of Toujeo as an option for patients who need very high insulin doses. Toujeo comes in a SoloStar pen, which only delivers up to 80 units per injection.
