Patients will ask how to manage diabetes meds during fasting...for lab work, medical procedures, religious reasons, etc.

It depends partly on the fast duration. Fasting for labs usually isn't an issue...since they can be done first thing in the morning.

Procedures or colonoscopies may be trickier. Suggest getting these done early in the day to limit the duration of the fast.
