Labelling says that triptans shouldn’t be used in patients with coronary artery disease, stroke, uncontrolled hypertension, etc.

This stems from the early 1990s when it was thought that heart attacks were caused by vasospasm. Patients with CV disease or uncontrolled hypertension were excluded from triptan trials.
