The Natural Cycles app is the first digital form of birth control approved by Health Canada as a contraceptive.

It’s a mobile app that uses body temperature, menstrual period info, and other data to report the patient’s fertility status each day...green for not fertile and red for fertile.

The app works similarly to a fertility tracker but also uses info, such as recent use of hormonal contraceptives, sperm survival rates, and variations in ovulation day to predict the fertile window.
