Fezolinetant (Veozah) will be a new nonhormonal med for managing moderate to severe hot flashes during menopause.

It’s the first neurokinin 3 antagonist. It blocks neurokinin B, a chemical that regulates temperature...decreasing vasomotor symptoms.

Tell patients to expect a benefit of about 2 or 3 fewer hot flashes per day with fezolinetant 45 mg po once daily compared to placebo.
