High demand and shortages are leading to questions about estrogen patches for menopausal hormone therapy (MHT).

More patients are opting to use MHT due to expanded coverage of costs in some provinces. And they’re often choosing transdermal forms since they’re associated with a lower risk of blood clots than oral options.
