Advair, the first inhaler that combines BOTH a long-acting bronchodilator (salmeterol) and corticosteroid (fluticasone)

Glaxo will soon market Advair, the first inhaler that combines BOTH a long-acting bronchodilator (salmeterol) and corticosteroid (fluticasone).

Advair is a Diskus inhaler that comes in 3 strengths...100, 250, or 500 mcg fluticasone per inhalation. All strengths also contain 50 mcg of salmeterol per puff.

Patients will use Advair twice daily to PREVENT asthma symptoms. They will still need a short-acting bronchodilator to TREAT an acute attack.
