Wyeth is now warning the antiarrhythmic Cordarone (amiodarone) might cause vision loss...sometimes blindness.
Almost all patients taking Cordarone develop corneal deposits. This can lead to blurry vision...but it's reversible when the drug is stopped.
Now there are reports of vision loss and blindness in patients taking Cordarone...possibly due to damage to the optic nerve.
