Hepatitis A is the most frequent vaccine-preventable disease in travellers. It also has the highest mortality rate.
Recommend inactivated hep A vaccines for travellers visiting developing countries. Tell them to start at least 2 to 4 weeks before departure...with a booster dose 6 to 12 months later.
