You'll see a new oral cancer drug in Canada called Sutent.
Sutent (sunitinib) is for treating gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) that have become resistant to Gleevec (imatinib).
It works similarly to Gleevec. Both drugs block proteins needed for the tumour's growth.
