combo product called Stalevo will allow patients with Parkinson's disease to take fewer tablets
A new combo product called Stalevo will allow patients with Parkinson's disease to take fewer tablets.
It contains both standard-release carbidopa/levodopa (Sinemet, etc)...PLUS entacapone (Comtan).
Stalevo will be for patients who already take these drugs separately...or for patients who have "wearing-off" on levodopa. Adding entacapone boosts efficacy of levodopa and helps it last longer.
