eAG, estimated average glucose, instead of A1C

You'll hear more people use the term eAG, estimated average glucose, instead of A1C.

The American Diabetes Assoc is leading the charge to encourage health professionals, labs, and device manufacturers to use eAG.

The idea is to make results more meaningful. "Average" glucose is easier for patients to understand. It's in mmol/L...the same units as their blood glucose tests.
