Health Canada is now warning not to use piroxicam for ACUTE pain.
This is because piroxicam has a higher risk of serious skin reactions and GI problems than other NSAIDs.
Piroxicam can be used for CHRONIC arthritis pain when other NSAIDs aren't helping and patients are being monitored.
