Health Canada is warning about hypersensitivity and serious skin reactions associated with Intelence (etravirine).

These reactions are seen in patients taking combination HIV therapy that includes Intelence.

Skin reactions could potentially be fatal, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and erythema multiforme. Hypersensitivity reactions may also include organ dysfunction such as liver failure.
