Stelara for chronic moderate to severe psoriasis
February 2009
Canadians will be the first to be able to try Stelara for chronic moderate to severe psoriasis.
Stelara (ustekinumab) is a human monoclonal antibody.
It works by blocking interleukin IL-12 and IL-23. Most other biologics for psoriasis (Enbrel, Remicade, Humira) work differently. They block tumour necrosis factor.
