Many pharmacists are surprised that certain OTC drugs are being reclassified as Natural Health Products.
Health Canada has been implementing regulations for products that now fall under the new Natural Health Products Directorate...vitamins, minerals, oral sodium phosphate solution, and others.
Drugs that are reclassified as Natural Health Products will be given a Natural Product Number (NPN). Homeopathic meds will be given a DIN for Homeopathic Medicine (DIN-HM).
