You'll see new warnings about an association between the SGLT2 inhibitor, Invokana (canagliflozin), and bone fractures.
These fractures seem to occur most commonly in the upper extremities...and usually AREN'T preceded by a major traumatic event.
It's possible these fractures are related to falls due to hypotension...since SGLT2 inhibitors or "flozins" have a diuretic effect. Plus, Invokana may reduce bone mineral density.
