You'll hear reports of a potentially dangerous interaction between amiodarone and the new hep C drug, sofosbuvir (Sovaldi, Harvoni).

Combining amiodarone with sofosbuvir-containing hep C regimens may lead to serious bradycardia, cardiac arrest, and pacemaker placement.

Patients seem to be at higher risk for bradycardia if they are also on a beta-blocker or have cardiovascular or liver disease.
