Debate will continue about whether it's okay to use celecoxib (Celebrex, etc) in patients at high cardiovascular risk.

We're used to thinking that COX-2 inhibitors have a higher CV risk than other NSAIDs...especially since rofecoxib (Vioxx) was withdrawn due to an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.

But celecoxib's CV risk may not be higher than other NSAIDs.
