Health Canada will soon require all Rx opioids to be dispensed with a standard warning sticker and patient handout.
It's the latest effort to increase awareness about opioid risks.
The warning sticker states that opioids can cause dependence, addiction, and overdose...and the handout contains broader information about warnings, possible side effects, signs of overdose, etc.
