We know guidelines and other expert guidance (white papers, decision pathways, etc) are often used to drive patient care.

But guidelines aren't meant to be a "cookbook approach" to patient care. Plus guidance between various organizations often conflicts...due to differing opinions, gaps in evidence, goals of care, etc.
