Parke-Davis will soon market a potent new lipid-lowering drug called Lipitor (atorvastatin). It'll hit the market soon in the U.S...they also plan to market it in Canada.
Lipitor lowers LDL significantly more than simvastatin (Zocor)...pravastatin (Pravachol)...and the other "statins."
That's how it got its nickname, "turbostatin." It lowers LDL up to 60%...compared to 25% to 40% for the others.
