You'll see new combination drugs for hypertension.
First will be Hyzaar...a combination of losartan (Cozaar) and hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan is the new angiotensin antagonist...with effects similar to the ACE inhibitors.
Coming soon after that will be Tarka, an ACE inhibitor and calcium blocker combo from Knoll.
