New oral contraceptive, Estrostep
Parke-Davis will introduce a new oral contraceptive, Estrostep. It'll be out soon in the U.S...possibly later in Canada.
It's "triphasic"...20 mcg of ethinyl estradiol for 5 days...30 mcg for 7 days...then 35 mcg for the last 9 days. Always a fixed dose of progestin.
Overall, it's comparable to a 30 mcg estrogen pill.
