Janssen now recommends that some patients take ketoconazole (Nizoral) tablets with a cola beverage...Coke, Pepsi, etc.
Cola drinks increase stomach acidity...to help improve absorption.
This is a lot easier than the previous recommendation to take ketoconazole tablets with diluted hydrochloric acid. The acid is harder to get...and has to be sipped through a straw to prevent damaging the teeth.
