    Sanofi Winthrop and Bristol-Myers Squibb will soon promote Plavix (clopidogrel) to prevent recurrent heart attacks or ischemic strokes.

    It'll be out in the next few months in the U.S. and Canada.

    Plavix is a new platelet inhibitor. It's similar to Ticlid (ticlopidine)...but without the risk of neutropenia.
