Seroquel (quetiapine) just hit the market
January 1998
Zeneca's Seroquel (quetiapine) just hit the market.
It's an "atypical" antipsychotic...in the same category as Risperdal (risperidone) and Zyprexa (olanzapine).
The atypicals are at least as effective as conventional antipsychotics (Haldol, etc)...and seem to be better tolerated.
