The FDA just approved the first monoclonal antibody for cancer...Rituxan (rituximab) from Genentech.
It will be marketed by Roche in Canada.
Rituxan is for certain cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma...a malignancy of the antibody-producing B-cells.
