Cardiologists are starting to use the low molecular weightheparin, Lovenox (enoxaparin) for unstable angina or after sometypes of heart attacks.
It's an alternative to IV heparin...to prevent blood clots andrecurrent heart attacks. These patients are also given ASA.
Lovenox is more effective than IV heparin for this use...andit's easier to use because it doesn't require monitoring.
