3M Pharmaceuticals is now marketing Qvar, the first CFC-free beclomethasone dipropionate inhaler for asthma.
Qvar comes in two strengths...50 and 100 mcg/puff. It contains the propellant HFA (hydrofluoroalkane).
The recommended doses are 50-100 mcg BID for mild asthma...100-250 mcg BID for moderate asthma...and 300-400 mcg BID for severe asthma.
