You'll hear about a new NSAID for osteoarthritis called Mobic (meloxicam)...from Boehringer Ingelheim and Abbott.
It's been available in Europe for several years...and will be in the U.S. soon. HPB is still considering it for Canada.
Mobic is as effective as diclofenac or piroxicam...but it seems to cause less GI toxicity.
