Experts are sticking with conventional doses of warfarin to prevent recurrent venous thromboembolism.
For a while, the trend looked like it would go to "LOW-intensity warfarin" which produces lower INR results.
It was hoped that giving only enough warfarin to get an INR of 1.5 to 2.0 would be as effective and cause less bleeding than giving more warfarin to get conventional INR readings.
