Avamys (AV-uh-miss) will be a new option for treating seasonal allergic rhinitis

Avamys (AV-uh-miss) will be a new option for treating seasonal allergic rhinitis in Canada.

Reps will promote Avamys as the first prescription steroid nasal spray to treat both runny nose AND itchy eyes.

It contains a slightly different form of fluticasone than Flonase and a new nasal spray device. Avamys contains fluticasone furoate instead of fluticasone propionate.
