Patients are asking whether the combination of simvastatin and ezetimibe (Ezetrol) causes cancer.
This is due to many news reports. They're citing a study suggesting a higher cancer risk in patients taking the combination compared to placebo. This story travelled fast because of earlier reports that statins may cause cancer...but these have been disproved.
